One-Visit Crowns & Onlays
We understand that your time is valuable. It is safe to say that going to the dentist is not high on the list of how you would like to spend your time. This is why a few years ago Dr. George invested in the latest computer technology called CEREC. What this means for you is that in most instances getting a crown (cap) no longer requires two appointments.
The photograph shows the CEREC computer and machine that constructs the restoration.
Dr. Geroge can now fashion your new porcelain crown in about one hour. There is no temporary crown to fall off between appointments, and no second shot of anesthesia for that second appointment. You come in once and leave one hour later with a new, beautiful porcelain crown.
While not every crown or partial coverage onlay can be made this way, it is the perfect solution for single-tooth restorations.
This is an illustration of one of Dr. George's actual patients. The silver fillings in these teeth have become non-functional and one of the teeth has broken (a frequent occurence with silver mercury fillings). The teeth have been restored with beautiful CEREC porcelain restorations.
